In the SHD universe, people are divided by supernatural abilities. The story is set in the midst of a war where powerless humans hold the upper hand. Our protagonists - Bryanna and Lauren - stand on opposite sides of the war. Nevertheless, they still struggle to grapple the expectations set by their predecessors and communities. We follow their story as these two young women find themselves fighting a common enemy. Along the way, they realize the frightening stories they hear about each other weren't so accurate.
