Hello Kitty Says Acab

Hello Kitty Says ACAB was something I created during my senior year of high school. I finished my last years over Zoom and was quarantined because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the pandemic came the height of the Black Lives Matter movement. As if the devastation of COVID-19 wasn't enough there were dozens of videos and photos online of black people being murdered.

As a young black woman, I was disgusted to see many peers and public figures use these tragedies as a photo op and marketing opportunity. That is where I got the idea for Heather and Ivy.
